This business unit is engaged in the sale of cellular and wireless terminals in different contexts and areas, serving mainly to cell phone operators, acting as retailers, and as a supplement to distributors who place specific orders. Terminals are sold in high, medium, and low range versions and reach specific, clearly differentiated market niches.

For this, Zilicom operates according to three business models:

1. In the first model, Zilicom buys mobile phones from manufacturers, imports them, conducts the fulfillment process and delivers the final product to telephone operators at their warehouses. In this model, Zilicom provides comprehensive financial and logistic support.

2. In the second model, telephone operators buy mobile phones directly from manufacturers, and Zilicom becomes a major strategic partner of manufacturers, not only as local support but also as an important support in integral management by:

  • Keeping frequent contact with telephone operators.
  • Providing information on the mobile phone marketcompetitors, new models, etc.-, on a continuous basis.
  • Preparing the sales scenarios for each quarterly period.
  • Managing the Purchase Orders.
  • Providing complete Logistic Service (Fulfillment), Quality Control, Technical Service and After-Sales Service.

3. The third model involves the importation and direct sale of medium and high range mobile phones, without line, to the major retail chains. Zilicom has experience in retail mobile phone sales campaigns. This model is common in countries with significant mobile phone penetration.
